Children's Ministries

Teacher: Teaching in Children’s Church (Lower and Upper Elementary Classes)

Assistant: Assisting with Children’s Church during the service

Special Events: Interested in helping with occasional children’s ministries

Time with Children: Present the Time with Children during worship (occasional need when Tyler is away)

Youth Ministries

Youth Volunteer: Assist with youth group gatherings or an occasional event

Food Volunteer: Provide an occasional meal for youth group.

Welcoming Ministries

Coffee Setup and Cleanup

Greeters: Welcome visitors, share information, name tags

Ushers: Welcome folks to the worship space, distribute bulletins, collect offerings, offer microphones during service

Visit or contact newcomers

Worship, Pastoral, Educational, and Outreach Ministries

Music Ministries: Choir, special music, soloists, instrumentalists

AV Team: Audio and video production during the service

Lay Leader (Liturgist): Typically leads the congregation in the Call to Worship, Affirmation of Community and reads scripture

Communion Preparation: First Sunday of the Month. Bring bread and grape juice, set up the table, clean up after worship

Forums/Adult Education: Share your faith journey, lead a forum or book study

Congregational Care Assistance: Provide meals or transportation to a doctor

Outreach and Advocacy: Volunteer to help with Out Raleigh, Guns to Gardens, PACE, Habitat, etc.

Behind-The-Scenes Ministries

Offering Auditor: Sunday following worship. Help the Assistant Treasurer, verify and sign-off on the cash count from the collection basket immediately following worship. Once a month or so.

Office Angel: Time varies depending on the project and will typically be on weekdays. Occasional.

Building & Grounds: Help with general maintenance / handy person, landscaping. Occasional.

Rental Supervisor: Provide onsite supervision during rentals of our space

Technology Expertise: Troubleshooting, software, networking
