Umstead Park UCC Youth Ministry provides teenagers the opportunity to establish and nurture a relationship with God, with themselves and with their community. We strive to lead our youth into a lifelong journey which offers a caring environment and place for self-discovery.
- Along with our youth leaders, our Youth Ministry involves adult volunteers working together to plan individual events.
- UPUCC youth group meets every Sunday evening from 5 to 7pm for dinner, fellowship, recreation and devotion.
- Special ministries throughout the year promote great fun and spiritual growth for youth in grades 6 through 12. Ski retreats, Summer camp outs, lock-ins, local service projects, mission trips, and special fellowships and worship are all part of the mix.
- The Umstead Park UCC Youth would be honored for you to join us as we travel this journey of faith together.

- Confirmation Classes: Normally offered for youth in 7th grade and beyond. Classes involve 3 to 4 months of weekly meetings when youth are encouraged to reflect on their baptism, faith and membership in the Church. Upon completion of the classes youth choose whether they wish to confirm their baptismal vows and become full members of the congregation.
- Johns River Valley Camp: A ministry of the Southern Conference of the UCC, JRVC is located at the foothills of the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. This camp seeks to provide – in an outdoor setting – opportunities for persons to experience the presence of God, to discover personal wholeness and to participate among Christian community.
