Joi Williams, Minister with Children and Youth

Joi, a native of Franklinton, NC, began serving as UPUCC Minister with Children and Youth in the spring of 2007. Joi was raised in a Baptist Church where she was baptized as a young child and ordained into the ministry as an adult. She received an undergraduate degree from Meredith College in ’96 and a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School in 2000. Joi has more than 10 years experience providing ministries for young and older adults in various environments. She has served as an associate campus minister intern at Meredith College, an associate pastor at First Baptist Church, Spruce Pine, NC and a Hospice Chaplain.
