Date: Wednesday, February 17, 2010 At 11:59:00 PM

On Sunday, February 21, Safe Church Training will be held in the conference room immediately after worship. Lunch will be provided. Training will be led by Kimberly Siefert. Not only is Kimberly a dear colleague and friend of Joi Williams, but Kimberly has worked in Christian Education for over 11 years and served on The Bishop’s Task Force for Children and Poverty. Kimberly is extremely passionate about working with children and is an advocate for implementing safe sanctuaries. She is a ’96 graduate from Meredith College and currently works for the Center for Child and Family Health (CCFH) in Durham as she pursues her MS in Human and Family Development to continue her work in keeping children safe and healthy. Kimberly resides in Bahama, NC with her daughter, Kate, and husband, Bryan, who pastors a United Methodist Church. Kimberly recently published Tales from a Pastor's Wife. We are delighted to have Kimberly come and share her gifts and talents with UPUCC. We are looking forward to learning more about safe sanctuaries and how Safe Church/Safe Child will make our church a safe and healthy community. Please plan to attend. RSVP to Joi Williams at joi@upucc.org by February 17.
